SS seem louder to me at certain times. Their tone seems to change at different rpms. I.e. at 2000-3000 rpm, not loud at all. 3000-4000...loud as can be. At 5000 not as loud ... as a matter of fact kinda sedate but sounds great.
Bubs seem more conistent in sound through the rpm range. I honestly never noticed a change regardless of rpm.
SS at idle...mmmmm....love it. Crack that throttle and the beast awakens. Get cruising at a nice pace and mmmmm...No regrets here man.
Bubs...nice pipes, look good, sound good. I hate to say it but you wont go wrong there either.
Both pipes are great and both look and sound different.
