I have a 2007 Speedmaster.
My question for those of you out there:
Is the upper and lower yoke assemblies on your bike, two different colors of Silver?
My upper yoke is more finished and has a brushed satin Silver finish to match match my risers.
My lower yoke assembly has more of a less finished white metal look to it.
My reason for asking is that I was in an accident with my Speedy earlier this spring. It was near totaled.
Now that I have it back from the shop, I don't recall my upper and lower yokes being two different shades of Silver.
I am wondering if they put the wrong part on or Triumph has changed the finish.
Thank You,
Bill

The lower yoke is different. What your seeing is ok and normal.
I wish they would have done a better job on the finish BUT then the bike probably would be more expensive so cest la vie!

Take a look at the Thunderbirds, The front end on those look like they are chromed and yet they are just highly polished aluminum pieces. They definitely upgraded their process!

It may be normal, but it's not OK.

No, Triumph changed the rough cast aluminum yoke to the brush finished one after '04 I think. If you have an '07, and it was wrecked and replaced, you probably got an older lower yoke. Make them replace it with a new one.

It was 03 when Triumph did a little better finish on the yoke.

My 07 has the coated finish on the top yoke and a bare alloy finish on the bottom one, I had my top yoke replaced under warrenty as the coating was worming, new one is just as bad again. plan to polish it and the risers and forks this winter. its one part of the finish on my bike I am dissapointed in.

you can buy a cover for the bottom yoke, Triumph part
A 9738086 .

I meant "ok" as in "normal" or "typical".

Dave is right to a point...before you go demanding anything you need to know that the early lower yoke was butt @ss ugly (Ive seen one) BUT the newer lower yoke is still ugly comapred to the upper yoke.

What we need are some pics for comparison...
here is a pic of the newer top and bottom yoke for a side by side comparison (bug guts optional):

Now we need the older one.

Hey!! I have one of those butt a$$ ugly ones! But, I have it covered with the chrome lower yoke cover Triumph has so eagerly provided for a small fee. I'll take a pic later of the rough cast piece and post it.
