You could incorporate a 7" lens from Adjure. I have the wave cut with Black Dot. Minor modification needed for headlight ring. http://store.adjureinc.com/7headlamps.html

Did you notice any difference with your new headlight? What wattage of bulb are you running?

Yes, more light and a better spread. I'm using the bulb that came with it. 55/60 Very important to stay with the wattage recommended. Don't ask me how I know? These are plastic surfaces. http://store.adjureinc.com/ha55waxefihe.html

I've got the same light, it's very good. It sends a focused pattern farther down the road, and is generally a little brighter on the sides. I reccomend it, although I found it to be an extremely tight fit with a visor. It's not cheap though, at around $90. Still, if you're gonna ride at night, there is no price too much to avoid all them darn animals out there! Ask me how I know. (But you shouldn't want to, I'll go on a rant against a certain four legged animal).

Thanks guys. To you two that have the Adjure, do i need the adapter ring or adjuster plate? Shutterbug, when you say "minor mod", what exactly does that involve? Thanks again

I don't know if that adapter ring will work on our headlight. The adjuster plate is for Harley set ups as I understand it. The minor mod requires you to cut off a small tab on the inside lip of your headlight ring. It gets in the way of the Adjure lens. Warning....there's no going back if you cut it off. The Adjure lens has a completely flat face and slides around on the surface of the inside portion of the headlight ring. The original spring clip does not work well with the Adjure lens, so I discarded it. I made up a few small spacers and placed them around the inner ring to center the head light. I marked the front of the ring with a felt pen at the point where i wanted the three bars to fall. After everything is lined up, I placed a half dozen gobs of clear silicone around the inner ring to hold the lens in place. Let dry over night. Next day I ran a hefty bead of clear silicone around the entire inside ring and let dry for a couple of days a least. The lens won't move now. I think I had to adapt the 2 small wires going to the bucket. A bit of a frustrating procedure....yes....but I could now whip yours into shape in no time flat. Hope this helps. Don
