Who ever told you full face is wise.

Pretty simple IMHO, in case of a fall, I WANT MY TEETH. 35% of helmet hits are in the lower chin area.

Plus Full Helmets make riding so much more enjoyable (bugs, wind, etc.). The Scorpion's you mentioned are nice. Find it locally and try it on first.
