yeah even in neutral. it's annoying but apparently it's for safety purposes... why though... I dunno.

Crud, one more "safety" feature. The "nanny staters" strike another blow for mankind. (don't know what you call them over there.) That "agressive" rev off the line could be a problem for newbies, which is worriesome for the model and new blood. I'd sure mention it to the dealer. Please continue with the updates, Gina, as they are worth a good deal coming from an experienced rider like yourself. And have fun with the new "boy"!

Actually it's a common procedure with the EFI bikes, the older Tigers have that same feature as well as my brother's HD Road King. More likely it's to reduce drag on the engine. My guess: with the extra drag pressurized squirters would over-fuel the bike at tick over since the fuel delivery is no longer dependent upon engine vacuum.
