Okay, as I promised in that other thread, banal rant #2. All the t.v. stations are switched to digital now. The promise was a WAY BETTER AND CLEARER PICTURE. Well, they were right about that. My picture is a little better. WHEN I HAVE A PICTURE!!!
It seems that every little thunderstorm or errant cloud that comes my way will interfere with the signal. We only have an atennae, but a high quality one at that. We'll be watching one of the programs on CBS, or the like, and then.... the picture breaks up and goes out, but usually for only a minute or two. Get that, ONLY A MINUTE OR TWO! And what could possibly be missed for only a couple of minutes of a movie or show? A murder? A critical plot line? A scantilly clad young woman playing volleyball?
I don't care that much, cause there are only a couple of shows that I even half heartedly try to catch, the "vast wasteland", and all that. But, BOY IS MY WIFE MAD! She likes t.v. a little better than me. but to repeat, thanks for the clearer picture, all you braniac engineers and well meaning people of Congress. I rather enjoy the CLEARER picture, when I have one at all!
