I don't think you really gain any stopping power with the dual disc. I ride both, Wendy has a BA and I a SM and the stopping power is the same. You can easily lock either front wheel so you can't gain any stopping power since once you lock a wheel you actually lose stopping power as well as control. Where the dual disc gives you an advantage is in very hard braking conditions, they won't get as hot and won't fade since the stopping pressure is divided between the 2 disc and thus stay cooler under those conditions.
