Love my Coolsac grips. Very Easy to install and they use the existing OEM throttle sleeve. Coolsac
Interesting grips Midlifecrisis . Which ones did you get (for Harley?) and were they a direct fit.
See my other post from a few months back. Any of the grips for "Honda 1-inch" fits America/Speedy. The good thing about these is that they use the OEM throttle sleeve.
They are "almost" a direct fit (minor mod on throttle side), you remove the left side and just slip on the grip, just like the ISO's.
On the throttle side, you only remove the rubber grip, (not the sleeve), by cutting off the rubber part of the grip. This is done while the assembly is still installed (no fiddling around with the throttle cables.
The sleeve will have raised ribs. These ribs will have to be cut off using a Stanley Knife or a Dremel tool. You then just add some glue and slip the new grip over the throttle sleeve. If you ever want to go back to stock, you will need to buy a new throttle sleeve (around $10.00) Plus the rubber grip.
