she went ahead and bought me a billet in the Ride Like a Pro riding course out here in Jersey. The guy who instructs State Trooper motor officers and his staff gives it, and it looks like a hoot. Anyone taken it? I have the dvd, but hands on seems the best.

Turn a circle in 18 feet is a lot harder than most will admit.

Took the course last Friday, and it is worth every dime. The Triumph acquitted itself nicely among mostly Harley baggers, two BMW's, a GoldWing sofa, a V-Rod and a Honda Shadow. Great instructors, tough course but lots of support, and it stresses the cycles and riders to their limits, one Harley was dropped four times. Our bikes' 33 degree rake was tricky in the tight turns, but I ended up grinding all the 'teats' off the front tire edges in the turns once I got the hang of it. Anyone can ride fast, it's the slow stuff that torques your grommet, and is where the most accidents occur. I found out that my 35 odd years of cycling was really only one year, repeated 35 times.
If you can, get the CD and then take this course; you will thank yourself.
