It turns out that the flasher I already purchased for this project was for L.E.D.'s however it was made it taiwan. Since the triumph is a british bike, some parts are backwards. For example the terminals on flashers. The + and - are reversed. Turns out alls that is needed is a led flasher, nothing more. Just be careful where its made.
