I like the Dyna Wide Glides, just couldn't see justifying the price difference to a TBA.
I know alot of HD guys who don't care what you ride, only that you do ride, but of course there are always the ones who are HD elitists. In my experience, most of those are members of the 15-15-15 club... Spent $15000 on the bike, $1500 on clothes, and rode 1500 miles before placing it all up for sale...
I had a funny thing happen once when I had my previous bike (Honda Shadow). I went to the local HD dealer on a Saturday afternoon to get some chain lube, as they were much closer than the Honda dealer. When I pulled up, a guy in the requisite offically licensed HD paraphernalia asked me If I was there to upgrade. I was taken a bit by surprise but told him that I preferred a bike that actually ran. I went into the dealer, bought the lube and when I came out, another guy came up and asked me what I had said to the first guy. I told him the story and he busted out laughing, seems the first guy was there waiting to get his bike back from the dealer as it had broken down for the third time since he had bought it a couple of months earlier.
