Are you guys freaking kidding me? Ain’t no tree hugger, nosy do-gooder horrible blemish on the face of the earth or nothing negative like that. Geez! We always bish and moan about the “me, me, me” society, that nobody gives a flying hoot about anything but themselves. Now, somebody sees that some dolt left his keys in his ignition and is nowhere in the area. He/She kindly removes the keys, without damaging the bike apparently, and turns them in to what might be considered a local authority so that one of these opportunist, “me, me, me” thieves does not go cruising away on your beautiful m/c. Now it’s this guys fault because you were not responsible enough to take care of your keys in the first place. GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK PEOPLE!!! I have been that dolt too and left my keys in the bike while in a store or restaurant or whatever. Once left on so my battery drained and had to personally jump start it to leave the restaurant I had stopped at while on the road. I would have been and would still be happy if someone had pulled them out and turned them in somewhere. Maybe might cause me a little inconvenience in getting them back and getting back underway but so freaking what. MY BIKE IS STILL THERE so that I can find my keys or hot-wire the bike or do whatever it is I need to do to get underway. Wow! Get the freak over yourself and appreciate the kind act this stranger did. I would do the same and am pretty sure this person did it with the intent of keeping the bike safe and not something malicious like hugging trees or anything. If in the act of doing this for someone, somebody else tries to break my hand... well, we'll see where that goes.
