I'd try to help if I knew what the heck Spider Lights are. I certainly hope this doesn't give me anymore ideas to spend money on the bike. I think I have enough already thank you.

always some good jobs at Bike Week. Couple of vendors as well. Will do the whole job on site for you.
Works really well reflecting off of a chromed motor. Not sure on our bikes.

Hey Gump, I dont think they are illegal. I saw them on sale at a Hardley dealership here in Harrisburg PA. Also a friend of mine got some at a Hardley dealer in Reading and put them on their bike already.

Unfortunately, just because they sell them doesnt mean they are not illegal. I use to have one of those neon licence plate frames on my car. I got pulled over twice (in two different states) because they said they were illegal. I had a purple one (to match my car) and they said that if I had a red one, it might be ok.
I think the key is to look and see if it says anything like "For Offroad Use Only".

Here ya go..... Pa code (h) Ornamental lamps. A lamp not enumerated in this section, and not located as described in Tables IIIâ€â€V of this chapter, is prohibited unless it is available as original equipment. An illuminated sign is prohibited. Flashing or revolving lights are not ornamental lamps. Provisions relating to flashing or revolving lights are located in Chapters 15 and 173 (relating to authorized vehicles and special operating privileges; and flashing or revolving lights on emergency and authorized vehicles).

I think its just a little too tacky for me. You'll look like your in a Shriners parade, kinda like a rolling JC Whitney catalog. Cheap and gaudy. Thats just my opinion, nothing more.

Although I don’t have a photo in my gallery, I have had the lights on my bike for over a year now. The lights are attached on the spine of the bike so you can’t see the light pod. They are a deep purple and when I have them on it throws a purple hue over the engine area. Not too many to look gaudy but they do look really good with the black and chrome on the bike. There are certain counties in Maryland that I can’t have them on because I will get a ticket if the police see them.

Mike, I don't "know" the law very well. My son is tricking out an S-10 pick up. He wanted to embed his license plate into the tailgate at an angle. I told him to make sure it was legal. He asked his uncle - who owns a garage - inspection license and all that - and he asked his buddy's father - a local police sgt. Both said no problem. He did it, took it out on the road, and got a ticket in a nearby township. The cop also did a full field inspection and cited him for a few nit picking things. That's when I found the PA Code online and sure enough, the license plate must be horizontal in Pa. I may come off like Dudley Do-Right on here sometimes, but with all the different Boroughs and Townships with their own collections of over-zealous Barney Fife types around my neck of the woods, I got tired of paying fines for stupid things real quick......

Grump, Never looked at ya like a Dudley Doo-Right. I know what you are saying about the laws and stuff in PA. Try living in the Hershey area, its as tuff here as anywhere. They dont like bikes here in "Utopia", especially loud ones!! My plate and rear light are located on the left-hand side down at the rear wheel, I figure its just a matter of time till someone around here bugs me about it.

They could be illegal while running... In FL. they cannot be blue or red, but other colors are ok while running.
Basically they are "Park & Pimp" lights.

I think they might look nice when you park the bike. Wouldn't want them on when running. Yes few is better. Although My TBA looks nice just the way it is.
