I really have no right to comment since I drove drunk countless times during my misspent youth. I'm fortunate that I was never involved in an accident. I suppose it would even be some kind of ironic poetic justice if some drunk took me out.
I can say now that I am 19 years sober that it makes me happy each time I see somebody successfully put the bottle behind them.
I hope that this tragedy will serve as an example to the next parson who might make the wrong decision but I doubt it.
I refuse to spend a moment considering Billy Lane's fate that would cut into any thoughts I have for his poor inocent victim and his family.
