I used to carry tools and a spare tube when I was riding Japanese bikes years ago. Almost any bike shop should have what you need. There's nothing critical about the tire irons or the procedure in my experience. One thing - my bikes all had a centerstand that could lift the rear wheel off the ground. Don't know whether the aftermarket stand for our bikes lifts the front or the rear.
