It's not that hard to check oil via the inspection glass. Yeah, it feels a little precarious when you first do this but just get down on your knees... grab the handlebar and pull the bike towards you until you feel the balance point. You'll get used to it but... by all means... CHECK THE OIL!
Don't just go by how much you poured in!
