I just got back from my free demo ride. There were no XR 1200's but I rode a Night Rod. It was really weird because the foot pegs were way out front but the bars were short. I took me a few miles to get used to it. But OMG... that engine. I opened it up on a portion of old Route 66 and it's a high revying screamer. I would never buy one because the riding postion is just too awkward and uncomfortable.

I rode one of those (first HD I ever rode) that a guy I was ridin with had and let me take up the street(to my surprise). After gettin over the fact that it was a gorgeous ride (with somethin to cover that horrible headlight) it was all downhill. Well, cept for the motor. Mean a$$ (half Porsche) powerplant with tons of torque and cajones stuffed in a chassis with the seatin position of a dirtbike (a dirtbike with forwards) and ground clearance of a moped. I take that back. A lowered moped. If I can scrape peg in the width of one lane with no bend in the road (you know, the ol butt wiggle to warm the tires) I dont want it. Sad. 106 years in the biz, and still cant built anythin that handles right without scrapin somethin off.
