Went for the test ride and free gas this weekend, and nearly walked away with a cherry white on white FatBoy. 2005 with
1173 miles on it. Total RUB bike. The guy was there to see what the stealer would give for it. He then tried the parking lot peanut gallery and sold it on the spot for $9,500... I was next in line if the first guy did not come up with the money by 6:00pm. He did.
Why did the guy need 9500 bucks? To pay the balance on his pre-ordered Triumph Thunderglide! When he found out I liked Triumphs I thought we would talk bikes for a bit, but all he seemed interested in was getting a new 'biker' wardrobe of Triumph gear(!)
I steered this new Triumph RUB to the 1600 forum...
I'm thoughtful like that
