No......Roadworthy.....it was THE union contribution to the lack of ability to address all those things.
Greed is and always has been the byword of the UAW. Unions did way more than their fair share to bring about the downfall of GM.
Flexiblility and compromise over the years might have effected a different result.
Demanding funds for laid off workers at 95% salary and resisting closures of no longer needed facilities......
Unions are the death of free enterprise.
