The U.S. never got the 750s, Gina. But, I have a '95 Sprint 900[actually 885cc] which is basically a Trident with a frame-mounted 3/4 fairing attached. The motor is smooth and full of torque, and as Steve said, they have a great exhaust note.

And, as Phil above said, they are a bit tall and subsequently are a bit top-heavy, and thus have a completely different feel in turns as compared to the BAs and Speedies.

The only thing that you really have to watch out for on these bikes are the sprag[starter] clutch. If somebody(like me, for instance) has let their battery lose most of its charge but continually attempts to start the bike, the little directional prongs on that sprag clutch wear down, and eventually won't catch, resulting in a free-wheeling starter unit and no engine starting. And unfortunately, unlike the second generation Triumph triples, the sprag clutch on the first modern Triumph triples(aka: the "T-300" series) are located inside the engine cases and thus its a pain to change that unit out.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
