Just Rolled in the driveway in Indy at 6 pm. Sunday was a wet mess, Gary(Wasp) and I split from the New York boys with the Truck/Bike just west of Ashville, NC. We took the Road over the Smokies at Cherokee. I left Gary in Pigeon Forge and went North as far as I could. Made it the Kentucky border at 9 pm Sunday spent the night in Williamsburg, KY. Left 10 am this morning in rain, took all secondary roads. Kept the rain gear on to cut the cold wind. Only 55 degrees when I left. Took 421N thru the middle of KY and another great road. Finally got out of rain gear in Frankfort. Crossed the Ohio river into Madison, Indiana and bright sunshine and 76 degrees(GO Figure. From the river, only took 3 hours of Flat roads at 60 and 70 mph. 16 hours in 2 days and I now know what Saddle sore really feels like(And I don't like horses).
Most of all Thank you to CHY and DI for their great hospitality and for being the best tour guide for a vacation I have ever had. You have got AAA beat by 110%. I really felt accepted as if I was always part of the group. Even though I was driving a Sewing machine. And Yes Pete I will do something about that lack of noise. Thanks to all my new found friends, I can see this is going to be a great group to be a part of. I know we don't have any roads like Ya'll do, But if any of you ride anywhere near Indianapolis you better call me!! Thems fightin words. hey I'm getting used to using this Southern talk. I've got to run to the store I'll be back on later. I am taking the TRUCK to the store so the dog can go too. Just like our friend Sally I mean Benny. Steve_Sixmil
