Damien, it might be easier for you to meet up with us at Magazine Mtn. I'm hoping to be up there around noon or so. You could go over to Russellville head south down Hwy 7 to 27 then over to Hwy 10 East and go up 309. You would likely run in to us. That would be a long day if you went up to Eureka then down again and back up.

That's just an approximate time barring any problems. You're right, the foods not that great and it was crowded last time me, Donny, Charlie and Yota were there at the first AR rally and expensive also. We might want to try and hold off until Russellville on the way back up and eat lunch. Yes we could try to meet up at the lodge.

things are starting to not look good up here
BIG COLD FRONT, can someone tell me what the chill is when it's 33 degrees and 70mph on the bike. I don't even think my heated vest will help much with that.

that is the low here for Thursday night, high for Friday 45.

I'm sorry to say it doesn't look like the stars want to line up for me for this trip.
Just found out today that I need new tires for the truck before winter (there's 400bucks)

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for wanting me to come down and for Rick willing to share his room with a girl.

A propsal for the Midwest Rally, if you guys come back up to Galena, I will help plan the rides. I know of one loop with great views of the river and a carferry ride over to WI.

Everyone please be safe and enjoy the ride.

I've got two hoodies ordered. I won't need the small, so if anybody wants it, go ahead and buy it at the ralley. Hope the weather works out for you folks. Fall weather is the worst to try and forecast.

Thanks, the wind chill at 50mph with 45F makes it to be 17degrees. Talk about cold.

Sorry LivinginH, I just can't see riding in that kind of weather. Plus now they are calling for possible snow flurry for up here on Sunday. Guess the snow that is in WY today is on it's way here. Sometimes living in Northern IL just sucks.
I don't wanna put my bike away for the winter.

A good place to eat close to the lodge is Shirley's Outback. It's just north of the mountain near Corley and is the biker stop of choice in the area (they even have a burnout pit). They also have pumps out front so we can fill up there as well. We will be passing it on the way to the lodge. I'm not sure how fast they could feed a large group though.

Paul,
I rode through Noel today so you won't have to make that pilgrimage if you don't want! Wouldn't want to swamp their traffic officers.

I going straight through to Springdale, AR and up to Eureka Spngs. in the morning(see the lounge for my ongoing bike problems). Donny left this afternoon and probably went through Noel. He's more careful then I am.

Paul I already paid for my shirts, so just let me know what shipping will be and I will get it to you asap. Thanks and you guys be careful out there......

Oh by the way, we have already had up to 5"inch's of rain in places and suppose to get worse tonight.

Well that sucks, Rick! It's supposed to slow down tonight and stop tomorrow, not trying to change your mind for you but once we get down to the Branson area it should be smooth sailing.

Well, I thought I might make a surprise cameo this year, my wife and I are on a week long RV trip (GA, AL, MS, LA, TX,OK, AR, TN, GA) (towing my America :O) I am in OK tonight about 80 miles west of y'all and turns out I will not be in Eureka springs until just before noon tomorrow (Sunday). I have to stop by the Rider's rest and drop off a gift for Anne (as promised last year) but will likely miss you all since you will be headed home. Ride safe and maybe I will see you in GA in the spring or who knows where in the next year.

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

Sorry you'll be late to the party Thom. Maybe we'll stay up late drinking and will still be staggering out at noon. Today was a long day, 282 miles round trip, almost 12 hours.
