Sounds like another brisk ride through the Ozark mountain range this year! If the weather is like last year, it will be perfect. Except for the cold windy rainy trip there.

Your just not right . Heck I guess we should be glad, years ago they would have been talking snow by now.

The deer are starting to graze (or are they taunting us?) along the highways. So be careful folks. By the way, when are you guys arriving next Thursday?

Bunch of whiner's eh? Last year Rally temps per day in Rogers, AR at least...
Thursday, October 23, 2008 57 degrees F high /39 low
Friday, October 24, 2008 51/39
Saturday, October 25, 2008 64/37

Good thing the rally was moved up a bit eh?
And I won't mention rain. I will say that the temps last year were perfect for tent camping!

btw, it froze Monday morning post rally...

Y'all have fun now ya hear? Wish I was attending!

Okay that settles it. We are going to do our big ride on Saturday to Mount Magazine and we will do a smaller ride on Friday.

7 days after today.

While you are in Tulsa, Dan, you might as well demo that recently introduced Triumph, whose name will remain unspoken.

really , around here you NEVER know exactly what the weather will do. Oct 8th - 11th could be beautiful with highs in the 80's or absolutly rancid. I'm bringing leathers (with zipped vents) and my 4-wheeler /motorcycle insulated suite.....ya just never know.....if nothing else, the suite will come in handy when sitting around the fire at night.

I've pretty much decided on a ride for Friday thanks to Kent Stephens. It is called the "Ozark Moonshine Run". You can check it out the map at www.motorcyclearkansas.com. Look under mc riding guide. Instead of starting at Harrison though, we will start at Eureka Springs come down Hwy 21 at Berryville, then cut over on 16 then up hwy 123 back to Jasper. Thanks Kent.

CRAPOLA! It turns out that I can't go, after all. I got the money, have the bike ready, but the cycle gods have it in for me! My wife had corneal surgery last week, and she was scheduled to be at a post surgery check-up next Monday. But we recieved a letter today that her appointment is rescheduled for next FRIDAY!. We can't get out of this appintment, it's too important. I'm gonna have to miss this one. I cancelled my two bed, $55 dollar a night reservation at Rider's Rest, so someone can take it. I still want my hoodie I ordered, I'll just change the date on it to last year! Nuts, have fun, fella's.

Think I am gonna get rid of my single bed room and go for the double room, but depends on what I find out later from my roomy,,

Sorry Rich. None of my business but since it is a follow up appointment couldn't one of her friends or relatives take her? (from the mouth of a divorced guy ). You're a good husband. I will hold on to the sm and lg hoodie you ordered until I hear from you.

Yeah, first thing to cross my mind. But my wife has had a lot of medical close calls the last few years, so she's really nervous, and for good reason. Routine surgeries never are routine for her. I got to be the good husband here, as she is SLIGHTLY more important than my motorized toys. And for riding time, she.....nahhh...., even I'm not that crude!

Well all up-coming attendees....I bought a pair of Triumph riding boots from a forum member and despite my best measurements,,,they are about 1/2" too short . - they don't fit.....just dang! Soooo , there is a free pair of boots to an attendee if , like Cinderella, your foot fits the "slipper" I would say, if your foot measures 9" to 9.5" you may soon own a pair of leather, Triumph riding boots ! ..... oh well.
