Well now Big Ed, that's the best news I've heard all month. I started reviewing routes last night. I might even have a bike running by then, after two wrong part shipments. The correct igniter is supposed to be here today.
Fact for the tech vault, section 13-VIIa: - A speedmaster will not run on T 100 igniters.

Here's what I've learned from the Bennington Bash round 2... Having multiple route options for the big ride day is nice. It's hard to herd 100+ bikes to one place! And after about the first 20 bikes, it's hardly spirited riding anyway. We published route maps. It was helpful for some people, but there were also LOTS of cops out there, it's almost like they had access to the route maps!! The main hotel near the camping would have been nice... It was an 8 mile ride into town from the camp for us.

Well I checked my reserve dates and of course they fall on the same weekend as the NorEast rally this year. I am going to try to make up drill prior to that weekend so that I can make the trip to NY. The only thing that I am concerned about is that is the weekend that we will be doing our PT Test (Physical Fitness Test) and SRP (Soldier Readiness Processing). I just have to get the commander to buy off on it!

Yea, Ed, I'm gonna make it a RAT event for us. I have an idea for a Sat. ride. As mentioned, Bennington this year was just great with the different rides offered. Jan is on board to lend dealer support and I flagged the shop guys just in case anybody has a major issue. Keep me in the loop.

Well it just might work out yet! I was informed this past weekend that our drill dates for September will most likely change due to the fact that we will be providing security for the G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh, so that should free up that weekend for me!

Folks who attended the 06 NE Rally may recall the 1914 Curtiss AMERICA was being restored in the back room when we visited the Curtiss Museum. On Saturday during this year's NE rally, they are flying it for the public to see 1914 Curtiss “AMERICA†(World’s largest Flying Multi Engine Biplane) More info about The AMERICA With twin V-8s, I bet it sounds as good as it looks
