Hey snekeptp, My clutch cable broke 3 weeks ago. First outright part failure in 42,000 miles. I was about two miles from a repair shop so I kept riding and got lucky with the traffic. The shop didn't have a cable that fit, so they pulled mine and replaced just the cable. I too, had no adjustment, but I couldn't get it tight enough. The clutch would not fully disengage. I heated the ferrule on the top end to melt the solder and cut a half inch off. Resoldered, and it's good now. Sounds like your cable is too short, if I am thinking right. Next week, you'll get to see your old touring seat. I ordered my Rick Mayer saddle the first week of March, so my build date is May 5th. I was really wanting to break it in at GR06, but I'll have to wait the full 10 weeks for my new seat. Rick's Winter turnaround is 5-6 weeks - Summer is 12 weeks. I guess I ordered in the middle somewhere. See you Wednesday!
Ride Safe,
Dennis
