So a buddy and I were discussing the movie Easy Rider, as we are planning a motorcycle camping trip this summer, throughout PA. Of course, the topic of who would be Captain America (Wyatt) and who would be Billy came up. So, I ask the forum, just for fun: “Who would you rather be Captain America or Billy and why?† Oh Wyatt’s response of “I never wanted to be anybody else,†or the stranger on the highway’s quote: “I’d like to try Porky Pig†are excluded from this discussion.

I'm to old, to balding and to fat to be either of them. If you don't mind, I'll just be me!

Well I'll tell ya Matt, back when this movie first hit the theatres I always figured Peter Fonda would get more chicks, and so I suppose I'd like to be him. Oh and BTW, seeing as you've asked this question here, I gotta tell ya that sometimes I think there'd be a couple dudes around here at BA.com who I'd imagine would be one of the OTHER characters in that flick. Yep...either Clem or Bubba. You know, those yahoos in that pickup truck at the end of that flick with the shotgun! (...though I ain't gonna name any names here, of course!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Yeah, I've noticed a few rabid Harley haters here too...
But I don't think they would go that far.

But would they if Captain America was on a Thunderturd in this new remake?

Well erle, I know one thing for sure. Peter Fonda is noted for saying that the Captain America bike was a b*tch to ride and especially to get the sucker to turn. Something I know will not be a problem with that new T-Bird. And so, maybe there'd be an outside chance for a quick maneuver and avoiding the shotgun blast IF he was on that new Triumph instead.

Naw... Clem and Bubba would simply drain the radiator while Captain America was inside ordering latte and bran muffins.

Tough question. Fonda basically retired after the movie, and Hopper got to play Frank Booth in "Blue Velvet." Either one might be better than my weeding rich people's flower beds.

hmmmm, the American dream. Do a dope deal to be free, then have Americana not understand the freedom killing the dope dealers.
George Hanson was the best one on that trip.

Yeah, but look at the bright side here, Ron! Though it took 40 years for justice to prevail, at LEAST the dude playin' the Drug King in that opening scene at the end of LAX's runway has FINALLY gotten his just desserts!!! And in FACT, said moron is gettin' sentenced TODAY in L.A. Superior Court. How ironic is THAT, huh???!!! (for those here "out-of-the-loop", I'm talkin' about Phil Spector)

Neither one... I would rather be the character Jack Nicholson played. I mean I know he was killed and all, but he was a free spirit on the road of life.
Live to love, love to live.
