Is there anyway to put a double headlight on the America or
Speedmaster like the ones on the Rocket three?

If anyone here has done this I would like to hear your experience
with wiring function and to see a picture.

I thought thunderbike had one but I can't find it on their site. May want to check with boogieman.

I don't think thunderbike sells it anymore. It was like 500 bucks though.

There were some on here back when the photopost worked (I know, I'm showing my age ).

Really, anything can be done if you want to. I don't think a dual headlight setup would be very difficult at all.

Expensive, maybe.

But then, maybe not, a quick search found these: Link

I kinda like those. What's our upper fork shroud diameter again? 55mm? Dang, too big. I wonder how hard it would be to remove 1mm from the insides of those clamps?

Technically it's a simple process... easiest way is to start with a pair of small (say 4.5") headlights off some other bike (so you'd have low & high beams, unlike a car type spotlight)... say a pair of used Yamaha Virago lights you could pick up cheap from a bike wrecker. Then simply wire the second one in parallel with the first. The hardest parts would be fashioning a bracket that would take both lights (though in our case it's made easier due to the stock lightbar mounting holes) and physically fitting all the wiring inside the standard headlight bucket to one or both of the new smaller ones.

I've been going through the same process - I've decided to use a pair of 5.75" bates shells and some Cibie inserts. Not fully wired up yet as i'm getting over the bracketry problem first.

I was looking into the Thunderbike one this week though, i believe they have one left but it's reasonably pricey (though it looks like a good piece of kit)

I have a set from a speed four. The stock bracket form it will mount in the same hole as your single headlight They are a little big for the bike though. A set from a Hardley FaT bob would work awsome though.

I'd think a washer (or two) would solve the problem easier. Well... maybe not, but it might be worth the gamble.

Fat Bob lights are what made me think of this in the first place.
I wonder how much a set costs? Aren't they HID bulbs?

I think it's easier to mount new headlamps using the two through bolts on the lower triple. That's how the factory light bar is mounted. The two lights I added use a simple "L" bracket to support them under the triple. If not for the windshield, I could flip the bracket over and mount the lights above the triple, in place of the factory 7" bucket.

And I thought I was lazy. I've already designed and created about 4 different brackets for my bike. This wouldn't be too hard.

$350. list price. Stopped at the local HD dealer yesterday and checked them out. They are a nice lookin headlight get up. All one housing with a single bolt mounting, like our's.

The main problem is the width. The Fat Bob's fork are about 8-9" apart. Our's are less than six. The length across the HD twin lights are about a foot or so. I think the distance across the back of the twin bullet housing is even too wide to fit between the America/Speedy forks.

I definitely like the look, also, but think it will have to have brackets made, like the Friar said, with smaller light housings.

Yep, it's just a little bracket. Cool.
