In 66,000 miles I have used only Metzelers, and all but the first front have been 880s. In 6 years on this forum I haven't heard of a better tire for longevity without too big of a compromise in handling. Typically I get 17,000 out of a front, and 12,000 out of a rear.
If I was running the curves though like you do all the time, I'd sacrifice longevity for a stickier tire. Avon Venoms are very popular around here for that.
To save money, try ordering online if you mount them yourself, or if a local shop doesn't mind if you bring in your new tires and rims.
American Motorcycle Tire are out of Scottsdale, Az and there prices are decent for the Metzeler 880s.
