I just got My 09 America 3 weeks ago. I really like it. any break in tips? my tach I had installed seems to be acting funny. every now and then it likes to get off 1 or 2 thousand rpm's. I have to hit the kill switch a couple of times after each ride to get it set to zero.

Take it in and have them check the connections. You could do it yourself, but if it's under warranty, make the dealer do it.

I suggest that you allow one of the more experienced forum members to break it in for three or four months. When you get the bike back, it'll all be done for ya.

i did take it in, they told me they will call triumph and ask for suggestions and to call them in two days. Sometimes Donnelson cycles drives me crazy, why won't they just put a new tach in and be done with it?

Did you buy it there? Sometimes they can be dicks, I know. Have you been to RPM Motorwerks in Belleville? Good people, Triumph only dealer.

Yes, I did buy it there as well as my bonnie 04. I will have to check out that dealership in Belleville. It sucks Donnelson has to be like that especially since I live walking distance from them.

Take it in and tell them to quit screwing around and fix it. You paid good money for a new bike and everything should work, Don't call Triumph just fix my darn bike!

What's Triumph going to tell them???? That's like phoning the factory to solve a no start issue or a rough running engine. Do they have any mechanics at their shop?
