Looking on the TRI web site, why are the TA and Speedy HP #s different? Thought they were all 865s now? And did the old 790 rate 62 or so but less torque? Thanks, Buddy's looking to buy new but asked me these Qs. Cat

the Speedmaster has about 20% more hp & the black ones have about 30% more.
we should do this every weekend!

According to this site they are the same HP & torque Speedmasterspecs America specs.

790's have better cams than the 865's; the SM's have a higher rev limit than the BA.
My 07 SM with a stock CDI smacks the limiter at 7600 indicated.

Na ... looks like they're only different in the USA cos in the UK and Oz they are the same ... UK America

You are absolutely correct.
05 speedmaster - 1100cc, 11:1 racing pistons, Carillo rods, thunderbike cams, ported and polished head, 2mm over intake and exhaust valves, Barnett kevlar clutch, scepter pipes, oversize manifolds, 45mm HSR's, TTP stage 4 firestarter

Looks to me like they did a halfarse job of updating the page. the 61 HP spec is identical to the 790 and the 55 HP spec looks very much like the carburetted 865. both bikes with the fuel injected 865 produce about 65 HP.
