a few of these are just kind of disturbing!

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Marketing sucks...

Sometimes I think we pull the rope a little too tight these days and EVERYTHING is bad for you but seeing kids and babies in these old cig ads is just wrong.

Ah, marketing. Cue Bill Hicks (my avatar)...

Quote:

By the way, if anyone here is in advertising or marketing, kill yourself. Thank you, thank you. Just a little thought. I'm just trying to plant seeds. Maybe one day they'll take root. I don't know. You try. You do what you can. Kill yourselves. Seriously though, if you are, do. No really, there's no rationalisation for what you do, and you are Satan's little helpers, OK? Kill yourselves, seriously. You're the ruiner of all things good. Seriously, no, this is not a joke. "There's gonna be a joke coming..." There's no ****** joke coming, you are Satan's spawn, filling the world with bile and garbage, you are [screwed] and you are [screwing] us, kill yourselves, it's the only way to save your ****** soul. Kill yourself, kill yourself, kill yourself now. Now, back to the show.

"You know what Bill's doing now, he's going for the righteous indignation dollar, that's a big dollar, a lot of people are feeling that indignation, we've done research, huge market. He's doing a good thing." Godammit, I'm not doing that, you scumbags, quit putting a ****** dollar sign on every ****** thing on this planet!

Wow!! those cigarette ads are really bad. At the time people wouldn't had thought twice about them. The one with the doctor kills me.

I think the ad's are funny... bad no. Take it with a grain of salt. No sense in overreacting over a picture of anything. You can always look away.

I think I have some of those products in the cubboards. Fortunately they were packaged before "expiration dates" were invented. So everything is good.

Upon closer inspection; they could be the parents of Rowan Atkinson...

Add lard and much is explained.

Why isn't there lard in the glasses? Or maybe it's melted lard?

Cheers! Drink up!

Its seems just a few years ago, that people were up in arms about the Joe Camel ads targeting our youth. Joe being a cartoon character... Back in the day, they were not quite as subtle. Here are a couple of gems of Winston's marketing. Winston ad 1
