I removed about 25% of the material around the baffle for a bit more sound and a little deeper. I wrapped the material with a piece of "hardware screen", which is flexible chicken wire type material from Lowes. That held the material in place. After a few years, some of the material has started to degrade. Might have to repack with new material next year, I'm pretty sure my bike is louder than it was when the pipes were new.
I rode a short distance last week beside a local biker-type guy on a Speedy running Sceptres. I always thought Sceptres were pretty loud, but my bike was louder. At the first light he drifted back to me and asked what kind of pipes I was running.
