I put Harley saddle bags and a Harley replacement drive belt on my bike

How did the bags fit? Were their any difficulties in installation?
And is there any difference in the Harley belt other than the
price and the fact that they probably stamp their bar and
shield on it?

Yes, it was extremely difficult. I modified EasyBrackets and recessed them into the back. These are '83 "Euroglide" bags, not the big, long boxy slanted ones. Mine are rounded and very wide. Just bolting on the EasyBrackets wouldn't have worked very well.

The Harley belt is poly rather than rubber and very high quality. It easily outlasted the pulleys. And yes it was pretty expensive ($180 if I recall). No bar and shield if I recall correctly.

As an aside, I was working on my bike yesterday and I noticed that my smartarsed buddy who owns a small Harley shop and does my tire mounting and balancing put a valve stem cap on my rear wheel with a bar and shield on the tip. I wonder if he wondered how long it would take me to notice.
