If Robert Wade were to shut down the forum, for whatever reason, where would members migrate too?

I would probably stop posting anywhere unless another BA.com like site was started. This site has something the others lack.

Friarsride.com LOL
But seriously, I could have a Forum up and configured in less than a day (depending on the day).
My ISP has an instant install for PHPBB. The configuration is a bit involved though.

Actually I did install it once, just to fiddle with it, when I was first creating the site. That's how I know there's a lot of configuration to do. But I decided not to finish installing it until it was actually needed.

Mea culpa, mea culpa. I was just basing question on what deon and dog33 said in the other thread.

I would probably try to catch up with a few people via email or the Bennington Bash site and see who's where. Since trat went into the crizzapper, I've avoided getting involved with too many forums...

John I went to your sight looking for pic's again and I cant find the pictures of your ride. What's up with that? I did visit the pole dancer again. When ever I need to pick my spirits up, I'm going there. It's been a few months since I've been there and had forgotten about that. Great clip.

There is a link to my gallery on Picasa in the columns on the right (under "my stuff"), but you're right, I should have my bike pictures more front-and-center. I'll work on that. I also need to work on revamping my old design for the current version of the site. I'm a web designer using someone else's template for my own site. Sad. I'm ashamed. http://picasaweb.google.com/friarjohn

I'd have to sell my bike! Hear that Robert? Don't do it!

Don't do what? He's kept this going for 7 years. You think he's just going to shut it down and walk away now?

Who knows John, the economy has hurt quite a few people, and not just people who were already struggling. My business had been doing very well and all of a sudden the work just dried up.

Well, you can't live worrying about "who knows." We'll deal with it if and when it happens. The community goes on.
All this talk is doing nothing but making the newbies nervous.

Are there on protege on here that could take over if something happened to Robert?

Maybe we need to send $10 a piece or something to help with expenses. It would be worth it to me!

BonnevilleAmerica.com opening page. Scroll down to Future Fund and donate whenever and whatever you like. Many on here do this at least once a year just to let Robert know we still care. PayPal is the means....couldn't be simpler.

Nah, he's used to childish behavior (though sometimes I wonder which group is more childlike).
