I've been talking to Tom over there about a trying to arrange a meet somewhere on Saturday. Through this I've found out the Mini Cooper club is having their rally the same weekend at Deals gap. This means not only would we have to deal with the usual 30 to 40 sportbikes who have no concept of "sharing" and the 50 to 60 Hardley riders that show up around noon but throw in 200 Mini's and I think that's a bit much for 11 miles of highway.
At this point I'm working on plan B... stay at the house and get drunk... no wait, that's plan C. As you know there are many miles of roads equal to or better than Deals Gap that don't have near the risk factor so I'm thinking of a ride up to Highlands and a possible meet up with the Bonnie guys in Franklin. I'll sit down this weekend and see what I can come up with....
