I posted this tip in a former life (and I got it from someone else
) and if your socket isn't a Craftsman it won't work. I have a few of these sockets and only the Craftsman is the same diameter all the way through. Mac and Harbour Freight are necked down.
Another thing to consider is the manual tells you to bounce on the front end a few times as you tighten the pinch bolts... helps to align the forks.
