The overall resonance of the new Trek cant be overstated. Its great.
I wonder though if something is missed for those young pups who are only familiar with the more recent version of Star Trek with Picard and his crew.
Those kids , unless they have watched reruns of the original series or the subsequent movies will not catch the nastalgic interaction of Jim, Bones, Scottie. and Spock....not to mention the other key figures who populate the con.
