I took a 1/4" piece of aluminum, 10" tall by 5 1/4" at the base, 4 1/2" above the plate. A machinist guy I know rounded of the top. I mounted (4 bolts) it to the Triumph sissy bar plate where the original back rest pad was. To that I mounted a tall Corbin backrest pad. It's pretty simple. I "borrowed" the idea from a member from the Wash DC area that used to post around here.
