looking for some one to trace and send me their back rest (short and tall) so I can give it to my guy and he can make me a custom back rest. Alll i need is a traced out back rest so I can trick out my back rest, should cost the $ of postage, that is all. The problem with the first 2 prototypes where the streach between the 2 back rest brackets. I don't want to leave my bike @ welders rather he have paper "blue print" to do his lay out on.
Thx Scott

I could loan you mine if you want. I'm in Portland. I will be down in Grants Pass next month. If you can wait. I could bring it then.

I'll contact you before I head down that way. I'll be with the wife and kid, so pehaps we can meet in Cave Junction or something?
I'll be riding down at least once or twice during the summer. I'll keep you posted.

Take Care,
Brent

Hey Scott,
I will be down in Williams (near GP) next weekend Friday (5/29) through Monday. I will bring my short backrest if you still want to borrow it. Unfortunately, I will be driving and not riding. People seem to frown when you ride with an infant on your back.

Take Care,
Brent

I took a 1/4" piece of aluminum, 10" tall by 5 1/4" at the base, 4 1/2" above the plate. A machinist guy I know rounded of the top. I mounted (4 bolts) it to the Triumph sissy bar plate where the original back rest pad was. To that I mounted a tall Corbin backrest pad. It's pretty simple. I "borrowed" the idea from a member from the Wash DC area that used to post around here.

PM your e mail address & I could send you a photo or two. If that's the kinda thing you're thinking of.
