"The TeaBurner" On my Sturgis trip, I took some(good natured) ribbing from a few of the younger Harley guys about riding a RiceBurner. Notice I said the younger, all the older riders know Triumph. After explaining it was British, I christened it Teaburner.

That gives me an idea, "Teabag." Heck, I like that so much I think that could replace "Bollox" on my license plate, except for the fact that my bike is registered permanently with the current plate.
At my first poker run one of my "buddies" put tea bags under my bike, came into the bar and told me my bike was leaking.

Yeah-you might have more than the normal 60 year old "I used to have a Triumph" guy coming up-or coming on-to you with that plate...

Hey Friar John...You being an Earl an all that...Should name your bike "Earl Grey". A Very English Tea and maybe a sneaky reference to your now / present hair colour

Names. The neighbors little girl, who likes to hang out in the driveway when Lynn and I are about, calls Cinnamon Girl, "Lady Bug" and Vera Lynn "Wasp".

Equating Sheryl Crow to music is worse than equating our beloved TBA's to a sporty. In my humble opinion of course.
Well, I can kind'a see what you're sayin' here Keith, HOWEVER I think anybody who could be even a part of this cool video here deserves just a little slack, if ya ask me!!!....

In the short time time I've had mine a lot of young 18-24 year olds have said that thing is BA what is it. So I'm starting to lean towards [B.A.T] Bonneville America Triumph which makes it easier for them to understand when I reply it's a Bad A$$ TRIUMPH ask your dad about them Jr.

I guess since it's my first, I could name it Liz (my other first). But I don't think my wife (not Liz) would dig that too much.

I went to Life Cycle the day I found this 04 with 8000 miles on Craigslist just to size up an america as I had not sat on one or knew much about them, went back home and my wife made an offer on the the bike. The guy needed cash so he took the offer $2500.00. I'm in Michigan he was in Georgia. Sent 2 sons & a friend on a roadtrip with a trailer and everything worked out. Glad I found it before you guys did.

Well James, in that case I have the PERFECT name for your new bike: "Bonnie"!!!
Nah, NOT as in "Bonnie" being a shortened version of the name "Bonneville", BUT as in: "Bonnie PARKER"!
(because...YOU SIR got yourself a REAL STEAL there, "Clyde"!!!

I just figured since the guys making acronyms for his bike he might wanna get the name accurate.
To be honest I sorta skipped over your joke. Its like my brain automatically scans over most of what you type in parentheses. Its like a pop-up blocker really

I happened to come across this site that has them all listed out from each year. According to this it was 02, and 03, then dropped on the 04's and newer. I guess registrations dont mean a thing, if your 08 says it. http://www.triumphtwinpower.com/triumphbonnevilleamericaspecs.php

Mine's registered as a Bonneville, which is fine, because the personal property tax is lower on it than an America. Yeah, personal property tax....
I won't get all about it.

Well, that makes total sense, Dave! Yep, considerin' that the "property" of Bonneville [Utah] is MUCH smaller than the whole of America, then why WOULDN'T the "property" taxes be less on a Bonnie than on an America...RIGHT?! (wait a minute, am I missin' somethin' here????...are you sayin' that you have "property" taxes in addition to yearly "registration fees" on vehicles in Missouri???)

Yeah, on everything you own, even if it's completely paid for and has been for 50 years, they throw a dollar value at it and you get taxed . Car, house, boat, anything they can get their greedy ****** hands on they tax. So I can't register it unless I have my receipt saying the tax is paid for the previous year on that vehicle. It's total BS. I pay sales tax when I buy it, license tax when I register it, then property tax every year just because I own it. For the past 2 years, they have also included a "vehicle fee" on top of the tax. It's only 4-6 bucks per vehicle, but I have 3 and it adds up... on many vehicles in the state? I didn't want to get pist off again about it... ******!!!

Well, I guess we go back to Cycletherapy-looks like we have an America Triumph (A.T.) not a Bonneville America Triumph (B.A.T.) You know what I think-I think you should post a thread asking a silly question like what we named our bikes...hey if I can't pick on myself then who ?? Good question too Dwight-you guys pay property tax on bikes in MO, Dave??
