I know of a few members that have done exactly what you are asking and it looks a ton better then the old fake cheese graters and the engine seems to run better as well. The only problem is that if you take the whole box out you have to modify the side cover, as well as find a new way to support it. I know one of the members here offered to help me do this this winter but I haven’t gotten around to it. I am not sure he wants to be overwhelmed with questions so I will ask him to take a look at this thread and comment.
