Not to me , I have never had a clip style fail in over 30 years of riding, dirt or street so where is the worry? If it's put on correctly it won't go anywhere. The pins and side plates are just as strong and the clip holds them together, not much force on that.Had a chain fail with a few of those in it but it wasn't the clip style master that failed and the chain had more miles on it than any chain ever should.
