Me too. Replaced OEM battery after around 5 yrs but the replacement only lasted a year Must have been a duff. Fitted a new one but still regularly have starting problems. I've an alarm fitted which goes into 'safe' mode after only a couple of days after disconnecting my Optimate charger. Have tried cleaning the contacts on the battery, solenoid and starter motor.
Not sure whether there's a slow drain somewhere? Know that it doesn't take much at all to drain the battery enough to cause problems though...



Hey Dafydd, Disconnect your positive lead from your battery and put a multimetre set to amps in the line. If you get any reading you know you have a drain somewhere.
