Which Triumph motorcycles are currently being manufactured/assembled in Thailand, and which are still being made in England?

From what I've heard JC, the twins are assembled by the Thai in their land, and the triples by the "Eng" in their land. (however, the above is second-hand info, and so don't quote me on this)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Doesn't it depend on where the twins are being sold? Or has that changed?

For everyone’s information, all the twin cylinder motors are assembled in England. I know this first hand because when I took a tour of the factory in July of 2009, I specifically ask our tour guide if the twin cylinder motors were assembled in England and shipped to Thailand. He said “yesâ€.

The bikes for the US are all made in Thailand to my knowledge. Thailand also has a motor plant per the announcement in 2007. The R3 is a big triple but it also is made in Thailand for the U.S. market at least.
The Thunderbird will be made in Thailand also.
I think what the U.S. gets Australia also gets and Europe gets Hinkley. I could be wrong.

What?
I was certain that the 790/865 engines were forged in forbidden fires near Stonehenge by the last of the Druids.

I have first hand knowledge that the 790's were made by the Dark Lord Sauron in the volcanic Mount Doom. After his demise, they came out with the 865. The 865's are now made by the Druids.

Dahhh! Looks like I experienced a senile moment... I mean senior moment. I meant July of 2008. Thanks JackW for catching it. By the way, if I could get my hands on a flux capacitor I would install on my bike.

What about Hong Kong? I heard the new Thunderbirds were going to be assembled there. This is confusing. I'm just going to move to Hinkley when I buy my next Triumph. You know, go to the factory see one coming off the line and say I'll take that one! It sure would make life simpler.

I was taught the Druids fancied themselves old school traditionalists. Exclusively riding motorbikes with kick starts & right-hand shifters.
I could be wrong, but it's unlikely.

I have seen threads on this subject a number of times and am intrigued to know why anyone believes it maters? I work for a company that manufactures compressors and we have manufacturing plants both in Germany and in China. The quality of the finished product is identical... same processes, same QA, same machine tools etc. I am sure it must be similar with Triumph?

It matters to the poster.
I am intrigued that someone from England would wonder that to be perfectly honest.

Every product I've purchased from China - with NO exceptions - has performed poorly or broken prematurely. Thailand is apparently somewhat different, at least in the sense that they didn't round up all the intellectuals and shoot them.

That is correct, the generals don't take as much as the last corrupt govt. and they only shoot the illegal immigrants from Laos as they allow through looking the other way the children to be enslaved in the entertainment industry.
The reduced labor rate is a great benefit to the western business leaders who get to make much more profit without those pesky worker rights issues and environmental regulations.
Maybe his question was really not about the bike.
Doesn't matter where the Triumph gets assembled. Its still a Triumph. Some care who assembled it and under what conditions.
