George and I are home safe via Danbury, Bristol, Alexandria and Newfound Lake before heading south. We stopped at some friends of George's and were given some home-made maple syrup. Yum! Pancakes tomorrow morning are in order. Just a few sprinkles in the Salem area heading into MA. Nothing my silly looking but very functional Darth Vader half helmet visor couldn't handle. Rob and Cathy- thank you both again for hosting such a welcoming and wonderful event. You outdo yourselves every year. Land cleared for the hardy campers, a koi pond with a water feature for the zen inclined, a history making lobster and clam bake, great rides (wet and dry) and good times at Second Wind... It was so good to ride and chill and laugh with the usual New England suspects again, and very special to meet Chy and Greg from the Southern contingent, and to see Moe again. And way cool that the Rally call is being heard by still more Trumpet riders- Dave and Geoff! And thank you to everyone for making George and my Sweet Bonnie Marie so welcome and comfortable. What a great tribe.

Home safe and sound. I left Rob & Cathy's at 11:30, arrived 3:30. Heavy rain the last hour, but I had stopped and put on rain gear in time. Kudos to Rob, Cathy, and let's not forget Lee. This was the best NH Rally yet! The clambake was awesome! Great to see old friends again, and meet new ones. As always: I had a BLAST! Uncle Charlie

I got home just before the rain. Sorry UC that you got caught in it as you worked so hard to clean up your bike Saturday! Thanks so much to Rob and Cathy for putting on such a great rally. Good to see everyone again. Another great ride Brian!

Yet another great NH rally, thanks to the hospitality and hard work of Rob, Cathy and crew. The New England clam bake with lobsters, steamers, and steaks etc., was fantastic. Can't remember when I had lobster that sweet & fresh. Great to see everyone, and many thanks to all. Hope everyone gets or got home safe & sound. The ride back for me was a scant 200 miles, and so the lyin' weathermen were almost forgiven when the sun popped out as I rolled into the home town.

Did you unload the crate when you got home or are you just going to leave it on there for the next trip to a rally?

The irony or paradox or whatever of that is everything got wet in the rain, and now needs to be strung up & dried. Authenticity by default.

Whew! what a ride! The trip up with Moe and Greg was fantastic.. as always, great people to travel with. Thanks guys for having me along. Moes new toy took us down some delightful roads as we wound our way north... some more so than others but all part of the whole road trip experience. Rob and Cathy... what can I say?.. thanks so much for opening your home and lives to all of us.. especially me. I was made to feel at home in every sense of the word... It was a pleasure to be able to just hang out and talk with you for a change.. something I never seem to have time to do during the Ga Rallies. I look forward to continuing our conversations at many future opportunities. Good people... cool bikes and some great country to ride through, what more could we ask? Till next time...

Thanks again to Rob and Cathy, the lobsta (and everything else) was excellent. I got home about an hour ago after spending some time with Moe, Lynn, and some of Lynn's family as I rested and got ready to do the final leg of my ride home. We hit some rain on Sunday going through NY and PA before the sun finally peeked out again and it was safe to take off our rain suits. Had a slight run in with a road gator as I was coming home tonight. It was long enough that the curve in it allowed it to stand on it's side so that the tread was facing me as I ran over it but fortunately I was able to go over it without losing control or getting bit by it. It was dark and it just seemed to jump out from underneath the car ahead of me so avoiding it was pretty difficult. 2636 miles overall and worth every minute (except for the ones waiting to go through highway construction that condenses traffic down to one lane ). Oh, and Paula, you know I was at last year's rally right? Heck, I'm the only one with a black/yellow speedmaster that regularly shows up at these things

Arrived home last night at 8:15pm. Many thanks to two guys I would ride with anytime anywhere: Greg and Chy! Rob and Aunt Cathy you two are the bestest! From the shower to the lectric repairs. Did I mention food? Many thanks and mucho warm feelings your way! Trip summary: July 25th-Aug 10: 4,243.3 miles. Only had to buy Elijah Craig one time. Sunday night July 26th was courtesy of yota. While in Lower VA This past Friday, I happened upon two hardley riders sidestanded in the middle of the road. I stopped and "we are from Florida" I replied "Merritt Island" they replied "Cocoa Beach and Titusville". Spend at least a half hour blocking a road that nobody used... A sample of the roads a zumo reveals: One thing about roads with no paint: Wave. you are in the heart of localdome more pictures in that other thread
