I know GA hasn't even come and gone yet but I just wanted to give a heads up as to the dates (especially in light of my L.E.O. post in the lounge where I say it's on again this year)
the Dates are
Thursday 7-30 Friday 7-31 Saturday 8-1 Sunday 8-2
the agenda is very open at this point, and details are sure to follow... But (the dealer)Second Wind is on-board again this year ...
more to follow...

Hey Rob, Maybe some year you'd consider moving the NH Rally, say 2,000 miles west? Just a thought If summer falls on a weekend, Roadie & I were commenting putting together a Pacific Northwest rally some year. Maybe call it NH Rally II. With your permission of course. OK, I'll go now jh

I cannot make the 2009 rally (going to Sturgis this year), but am interested in the 2010 rally. Just wondering if for 2010 you could have the BA Rally from June 10th to June 13th, which would allow some of us to go on up to Laconia for the remainder of Bikeweek (June 12th through June 20th). It would be nice to be able to do both during one trip versus having to making two separate ones.
Now back to you're regularly scheduled programming.....

omg
I have planned to attend a family get together at Lake Gaston on the Virginia/North Carolina boarder August 2nd through the 8th. That commitment was keeping me from taking a peak at this here thread. I had planned on having Lynn cage up to Lake Gaston while I rode up. Now it looks like I could attend the NH Rally 09 then ride back from NH Sunday and arrive late Sunday August 2nd or mid day Monday August 3rd!!! Perfect! The way I figure it is only roundabouts 870 miles. I am going to talk to Lynn this evening.

Still thinking of the Kancamangus this year? Let me know when you decide the ride and I will check out some of the roads on my various escapades. Of course I'm in. Probably be up Thurs. night right after work.
My mind and body are still out of tune
I hope they run into each other real soon "

That weekend I may be heading up to the Mt Washington area. I have a friend who lives in Whitefield. His wife works at the Mt Washington hotel, so I can get a room for 1/2. See if I can stop by...

Pool is open, filter is running, yup it's starting early...Moe, as always great pic!...that place should be on the list again this year! OH and BTW...the Rally will NEVER be the same time as Laconia...over rated-vendors on parade-selling cheap T's to people who trailer from MA...cripes even HA has their T-shirt stand set up...nope been there done that, not bad on mid week, but awful on wkends...flip flop, tanktop, rally cap wearing sportbikers with mini skirt high heal hotties on back...on second thought ... perhaps.... nah...

Ok here is the thing!
You (y'all for our southern contingent) are coming to beautiful New England for a summer rally...and for the last several years the menu has had a decidedly "southern" flair...pulled pork, ribs, slaw, and so on...(which I happen to love) but this year I was thinking more summer in New England...a Clam bake...with steamers and Lobster...(which I don't care for at all)... having spent my younger days as the Son of an off shore lobster-man...I can cook it up just fine 9even if I don't understand the fascination...and I can out fish (deep sea) most...and don't get me started on fresh water...if it doesn't weigh at least 20lbs it's not a real fish...and cod and haddock should be at least 40lbs to be any fun.....but I digress...
ANYWAY...a clam bake...I'll be watching the market prices as things get closer and see where they are and if it will require a second mortgage... that is IF people are interested... (we will of course have some other meat products for those, like myself, who don't see what all the hub-bub is with Lobster and clams)
So would people be interested????

Dang Rob, your deep fried turkey was great, but if you decide to go New England Clambake, so be it. Lobster, Steamers, Corn on the cob, served with drawn butter. Ummmmmmmmm!

Sorry for the partal hi-jack, but I had to look that up Charlie.
Drawn Butter:: "In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Bring to a boil until the milk solids have separated and sunk to the bottom of the pan. Ladle out the clarified butter and place in a warm cup until the lobster is done."

And reason to soak something in butter is a good enough reason for me. I went to a wedding in RI once that was a clambake, in a pit in the ground and everything. Good times.

Same here, if given the choice between bottom feeders and something that wallows in its own poop I'll choose the bottom feeders (even though both are pretty tasty ). Moe and I eating BBQ in Maine last year was kinda anti-climactic. I mean, we can get BBQ anywhere down this way and we would rather have had some more local cuisine. I blame Ryan since told us to stop by that bar place while we were up there.

I never said you had to eat there when there were probably 10 lobster pounds within a 5 minute ride. Southerners. Geez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
