American companies need to build cars that people want to buy (good performance, styling, mileage, reliability, etc...). It never ceases to amaze me that given our leadership in technology and design that we can't.

Having said that Fords new Taurus is gorgeous. The new Ford Fusion is said to be the best hybrid that has ever been built. So we can do it... I just hope it's not too late.
