I’ve been meaning to post these pics for a week or so. I picked up Tom's (Brokenfixed) battery relocation kit about 2 weeks ago. If you want to do this mod, but are like me and don’t have the technical knowhow (or the tools) to build your own mounting plate, this is definitely the way to go. Very fast turnaround, great price, great fit and finish and I love the end result. I had some questions along the way, and Tom got back to me quickly with answers and advice.
Anyways, here are a few pics of my bike after the relocation. I was toying with the idea of getting the whole box chromed, since I already had the chrome cover. But I needed a new set of tires for the truck much more than I needed chrome. I took my old battery box and cut off the mounting plate for the fuse box and ignition and mounted them to the stock location. Because of that, it’s not quite as minimalist as some of the installs I’ve seen, but I like it. I still need to mount the carb brace this week, but then its done (except for the re-jetting)
