Here's my opinion. I like the battery relocation. Good work. I would chop up your airbox in a way that all the mounts will still mount such as your side panel, and cheese graters. Kinda like you said, just cut an opening in the front of the airbox to fit the filters. It would look all better. A little tip for cutting plastic airbox. Take a propane torch and a couple different sized putty knives. Heat the knives till red hot and insert into the plastic melting a perfectly straight line without discoloration of the plastic.
