The wife sent be this > > For those that don't know him, Major General Peter Cosgrove is an 'Australian treasure!' > > > > General Cosgrove was interviewed on the radio recently. You'll love his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this! This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of an ABC interview between a female broadcaster and General Cosgrove who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military headquarters. > > > > FEMALE INTERVIEWER: > > So, General Cosgrove, what things are you going to teach these young > > boys when they visit your base? > > > > GENERAL COSGROVE: > > We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting. > > > > FEMALE INTERVIEWER: > > Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it? > > > > GENERAL COSGROVE: > > I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range. > > > > FEMALE > INTERVIEWER: > > Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be > > teaching children? > > > > GENERAL COSGROVE: > > I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline > > before they even touch a firearm. > > > > FEMALE INTERVIEWER: > > But you're equipping them to become violent killers. > > > > GENERAL COSGROVE: > > Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, > > are you? > > > > The radio went silent and the interview ended.

An old British motojournalist, L.J.K. Setright, told this one in the old Cycle magazine. He was in British court for a speeding ticket on his Dresda-framed CBX. The prosecutor made the point that the bike could go well over the 70mph speed limit.
Setright replied, "Yes, it can double the speed limit and still have 15mph in hand. But the intrinsic capabilities of the motorcycle are irrelevent. You have to prove, if you can, that I was doing what you alledge I was doing. Otherwise you might as well be charging me with rape on the grounds I have the necessary apparatus." He won the case.

Hmmmmmm. Ya know Brian, after readin' that I'm startin' to wonder if it's JUST a coincidence that some folks seem to have a surname which pretty much describes their talents to a "T"?!
I mean, first you have this "Setright" character here who evidently seems to have "set" his accusers "right"...and THEN of course you have....Bernie "MADOFF"!!!
(coincidence???...YOU be the judge, folks!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

That's like the lady on CNN that asked the Marine sniper what he felt when he shot a person, the marine answered "recoil". Haha, classic!

I rear-ended a car this morning.
So, there we were alongside the road and slowly the other driver got out of his car.
You know how sometimes you just get soooo stressed and little things just seem funny?
Yeah, well I couldn't believe it.... he was a DWARF!!!
He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted, 'I AM NOT HAPPY!!!!
So, I looked down at him and said, 'Well, then which one are you?'
